"We visited for a reunion with friends. The pub had a lovely friendly atmosphere and the owner went out of his way to help us, particular with concern over allergies. We did have a minor problem with the meal but this was quickly resolved and...compensated so didn't affect our visit. In fact the owner went over and above to make us welcome. The food and drinks were good and we would come again."

"Found this place on the last evening of our recent holiday. It's an absolute gem. Staff and service were excellent and the food is the best Thai food that I have ever tasted. "As a local I have been here a few times, mainly bringing guests to visit the farm shop and cafe. It is not a cheap lunch and, yet again I am underwhelmed by the food and service. We waited an age to be seated while waiting staff walked past over ten times. They smiled but didn’t acknowledge that we were waiting. Eventually we were seated and given one menu.. between two. I had to get up and go and get another one. Is it really too much to have one each? We were offered and served drinks, no problem. We ordered two sandwiches no granary bread left. What? You have a farm shop next door! Ok we chose sourdough. The sandwiches arrived with a bunch of leaves on the side. No dressing, no love, no care. Just leaves. The biggest horror was that in, what is presented as a quality establishment we were served sandwiches with cheap, margarine type spread that stuff that comes in huge plastic tubs. Reeeevolting. As a chef I find this really not ok. Cheap and average, very expensive. That’s it. Will not chance it again I’m afraid."
