"Seven of us enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch every course was superb. Service was great professional and friendly. Drinks inc wine were very good. Great atmosphere and and attractive decor only slight niggle is that half our party had to sit on a bench with no back which wasn’t that comfortable so we didn’t stay for coffee. A stool at the end of the table was replaced with a chair by a helpful member of staff"

"We were stopping in the area and was looking for a place to eat later Sunday afternoon. I looked at the reviews and decided to book. I phoned 2 weeks prior to our visit to book a table for four at 3pm, the girl asked me to phone the weekend before our visit to let them know which meat we were wanting that was fine so week before we ordered 2 small lamb and 2 small beef. We were concerned that we should have ordered the large meals. When we got there it was very busy and a lovely pub. We were told where our table was and we sat down. The meals came lamb yorkie pud mash potato roast and a roasted parsnip looked delicious. Then the veg came 1 huge dish of green beans,carrot and cabbage and 1 dish of cauliflower cheese we were thinking it was between the four of us which would have been plenty but no another 2 dishes came. Everything of the meal was so beautifully cooked one of the best sunday roast we have ever had. The staff are so lovely and friendly they made us so welcome. We will use this pub again when we are in the area. We liked it so much we recommended it to another couple."

"Staff were just staring. They had no happiness at all- must be overworked and underplayed. It was a treat for my kids and there was a somber atmosphere. Your staff need to cheer up and have a little fun. Must be the crap treatment from managers. Always is."
