We're from out of town and chose Hot Rod at random. Glad we did! The food was great! We got our own sodas the instant We walked in so nice on a hot summer day. We ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and a Monte Cristo with good fries and onion rings no extra cost to sub onion rings for fries! I liked the country fried steak, but the biscuits gravy were served cold. The server was out of the room to work on a project most of the time but checked in enough to make it work. I'm confused by the other reviews that show a brightly colored retro diner with nice booths, tiled floors, etc. The diner at this address has no booths, old carpet, and simple tables and chairs.
