"Lovely spot for a quick lunch, for reader in the UK this is very similar to Patisserie Valerie, lots of cakes, ices creams etc, but we actually shared the New York club sandwich, which turned out to be more of a BLT with lashings of curried mayo, surprisingly delicious given we were expecting chicken? We also shared a flammekueche topped with crispy bacon (very lean, almost like tiny strips of palma ham) and rocket. All washed down with herbal tea and a cappucino, everything was lovely. The only reason it's not 5* is that the first waitress we encountered, my partner (who doesn't speak German) approached, the waitress didn't speak english so literally turned her back and walked away, which we found to be incredibly rude, especially since I do in fact speak German, and I was happy to take over the conversation, but she literally walked away! Thankfully another very friendly waiter who spoke bothe english and german appeared and couldn't have been kinder."

"This place is a few bus stops out of the city but well worth the trip. Food is a mixture of mexican and burgers but all of it was good and very well priced. The staff spoke english well and went out of thier way to ensure that we knew what was on the menu. Drinks were cheap and plenty of variety. The apple pie (home made) was delicious. For us it was a pity that it is our last night in Hamburg otherwise I am sure we would have ben back. Recommend to anyone."

"I have been several times at Mamalicious and I do love the food the full Canadian could save my Sunday. Buuut, getting to the food is quite difficult. Standing in line for 30+ minutes without a waiter acknowledging you and then waiting another 60 minutes between ordering and getting the food. Guys, why does it take so long? Today was the lowlight though. Half the seats were empty, we were the only ones waited to be seated. We tried several times to get the waiter attention. After ~15 minutes, somebody finally placed us, without giving us the menus. We tried again to get the waiters attention, just to be told that we have to be wait to placed(? . There are too many good places to eat in Hamburg to have this low level of service."
