"We have been using this restaurant for many years on our stays in Ross. Usually the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. On this visit the service was poor to say the least, the food was not up to its usual standard...and the keema nan had no meat in it at all. Not sure if there is a new chef or the staff are disgruntled, but we were very disappointed on this occasion. I think their main concern was the party of opposite."

"Had a takeaway from here as we have never tried it and it was very good.. food was hot and the servings very good.. Ordering was made really easy by doing it online. The only takeaway in kington to offer online Ordering payment and delivering....Although I only ordered on line I could still pay when I picked it up and received a percent discount.. all in all very good"

"I fought here for an early dinner. it is a very small restaurant, only 4-5 tables. we ordered as appetizers papaya salat and crispy dese salat, for all we had spicy udon meeres fruit and meeresbass for the day. as dessert homemade mango ice cream. everything tasted freshly delicious. the waitress was very friendly and attentive."

"Booked a table at short notice. Warm reception from staff. Chose a table in restaurant area. Very chilly with the door open. A few other tables taken. Starters were good. Beetroot platter for my partner was lovely, my Cauliflower Cheese soup was good. Mains were a disappointment. My sole and “punched” potatoes was mediocre, the potatoes overcooked, almost black. My partners duck was overcooked and very dry. The Cassoulet was tasteless, and again overcooked. Side order of chips were overcooked again, looked reheated. Didn’t stop for puddings. Service was good, would prefer if staff wore masks."

"As a simple, country inn The Temple Bar cannot be recommended too highly. My wife and I stayed for four nights, Our room, the Hay on Wye, was clean and comfortable. The food was in quality well above standard pub food, and the beer was excellently kept. Gino, the landlord, went out of his way to be helpful and welcoming, as did all the rest of the staff. We'd love to come again. It's a shame we live a long way away."
