"Dalesio’s. Oh Dalesio’s. Where to begin. First, I made a reservation and had to do so by either calling or emailing. I emailed, and the owner emailed me back. Kudos on the owner still being involved, but a little weird. We went on a Tuesday. They open at 5pm. Our reservation was for 5:30pm and we got there a little early, around 5:20pm. We were the only two people in the entire restaurant until 5:50pm when two more people came in. It was a little awkward. The decor and tables and chairs are 20 years past needing a renovation. I overlooked all of this in hopes that the food from the #6 rated restaurant in Baltimore would blow my socks off current trip advisor status at the time of this review). We got the garlic bread- four slices for $5. Nothing special. We also got the lobster ravioli appetizer- four normal sized raviolis on a small plate of thin cream sauce for $16. They were pretty good and the pasta tasted homemade. My daughter and I both got the chicken bolognese $23 each). Decent, but under seasoned. We added a lot of salt. It was a huge portion however NOT homemade pasta. This is a travesty for a restaurant in Little Italy competing with all the other amazing Italian restaurants, this was crazy to me. Our waiter was great- excellent service. We got dessert to go- a slice of lemoncello cake $10) and pistachio cake $10). The waiter said all desserts are homemade. The servings were on the smaller side, but both were good. I think the owner needs to bite the bullet and spend money on an online reservation system and a complete restaurant renovation in order to keep competing with Joe Benny’s, Amici’s, and the many other Italian restaurants just steps away. Plus only serve all housemade pasta."

"Enjoyed my first visit to Char’d City. Their homemade apple cider and berry lemonade were surprisingly excellent. Both were a big hit at the table. Our Stromboli was excellent. Our pizza was very good. I thought the dough was a little tough, like it had been overworked or over handled. Taste was excellent though. Will be going back"
