"For some this is about reminiscing about the good old days of Uni and finding a little restaurant that people walk past with out too much of a second"

"I'm not Chinese and this place is for us all, non-Chinese people! The highlight of this place is the attention if you are lucky, and you can sit by the owner of the place, make sure you have a chat with him and his barfring.
Grief The food is really good, a bit of the expensive side, but I think it's a fair price based on the quality of meals. I had Bok Choy with garlic, the great, crispy skin tamarind chicken and your typical go-to-combination rice stirring roast, which was really good. All in all, go and try this place!"

"This is a brand new outlet in Chifley Plaza Food Court. The entire food court has had a revamp and after it has been closed for months, there is a new assortment of new food outlets, including this.
Grief As part of the Chinta RIA assortment, they also make the Malaysian classics and different items. The menu is big enough to give you the choice, but not too much to overwhelm it. They had little bisse (very yum cha oriented), soup noodles, barbecue, traditional objects, the wok, roti and benny lunch boxes. Grief Grief The service was good, but they were a bit overwhelmed by the great crowds, as one of the first, who opened in the food court, not much competition in the lunch break and a very fasculated audience of workers in Chifley Tower. Grief Grief I tried the clear noodle soup with Hokkien noodles (they were the thick egg noodles, which I enjoyed, as thought they could be the round they usually get) with the fraternal. I also had the roti with coconut (Kaya). My expectations were exceeded with the pasta. I think they were simply simple soup noodles, I was pleasantly surprised that the pasta had a beautiful soy taste for you, and when the soup was added, it was tasteful and hearty. The roti was nice and crisp and love the Kaya, which was served with it.
Grief It's worth a try, and are looking forward to tasting more with the menu!
Grief *** edited 23DEC16 ***
Grief Looks out as if I did not order the clear noodle soup up, as the chicken one that I have yesterday was completely different than the top! I would have the roasted duck with thrown egg noodle with sauce, as the noodles were definitely different from Hokkien."

"More than pub food. the majority of the six of us had the g pad duck, with the Chinese-inspired roast duck in a red curry and accompanied by steamed rice. our orders were delivered quickly, although it was a rush hour. the location reminded me of a backpacker hostel some where in a busy city in south-east Asia, with steep wooden steps to a roof top drink room and past some flats of sofas and small esstic. the menu here offered a selection of western oriented and Thai oriented, which reminded me of my trips to beaches in Thailand. I had visited for the chili hottest version of the geng ped, the lady kindly confirmed it and I enjoyed the extra kick...read more"

"This is one of the better pubs in the CBD office district, not surprisingly managed by Merivale as well. If you can't find seating downstairs, there are plenty more space upstairs. It is a bit dark and dingy inside, not helped by the dark timber interior. It feels English and therefore good for a rainy days. A good selection of tap and bottled beers, but the wine list is a bit limited. Overall it is a decent pub in the city for a quick after work or lunch time drink."
