Chocolate Stroopwafel [homemade]
Stroopwafels are a delicious wafer cookie popular in the Netherlands! They are usually Cinnamon flavored but why not have a little fun! These are sticky and chewy cookies and they are so different from other cookies you know! These are worth a try! Place your Cookie over your coffee or tea cups, let the caramel soften and eat it up! This is the dessert you deserve! Enjoy ;)
**Ingredients**
Cookie Dough
• 400g Flour
• 100g cocoa powder
• 100ml Milk
• 1 Egg
• 250g Melted Butter
• 120g Sugar
• 16g Dried Instant Yeast
Caramel Syrup
• 250g Brown Sugar
• 60g Butter
• 360g Corn Syrup
• 1tsp Cinnamon
**Instructions**
Step 1 - Stroopwafel Chocolate Cookie Dough
1. Mix the milk, butter, sugar, egg, and yeast together
2. Mix the flour, salt, and cocoa powder before sifting over the mixture
3. Mix until it forms a dough
4. Work it on the counter
5. Put in a bowl and cover it
6. Wait for 1h before using it

Step 2 - Baking The Dough
1. Divide the dough into 40g balls
2. Heat a waffle cone maker to medium-high heat
3. Put a ball of dough in the machine and press until it is pretty thin
4. Let it cook for about 1 minute 30 seconds
5. Take it out and let it cool for a couple of seconds
6. Use a cookie cutter to have a perfectly round cookie
7. Cut it in the middle so you get 2 thin cookies

Step 3 - The Caramel Syrup
1. Bring the corn syrup to a simmer
2. Add the brown sugar and let it melt
3. Add the butter and mix until it is completely incorporated
4. Add the cinnamon and cook until 115°C
5. Set aside
6. Put a big spoon of caramel syrup on one half and close the cookie
7. Press so the caramel goes equally everywhere

• 1 year agoI once made the mistake of being very intoxicated and eating nearly an entire pack of these. Needless to say I could see into the next dimension with all the sugar that was in them. These do look delicious however,
