Semlor is traditionally eaten on fat Tuesday in Sweden, and this year I decided to make my own. The bun is a simple wheat dough flavoured with cardamom, it's then filled with a mixture of almond paste and cardamom flavoured creme patissiere topped with whipped cream, a "lid" and some powdered sugar.
