"Staff was surprisingly rude, the two girls made snarky remarks to each other and giggled about what I ordered because I asked for no onion? It was just some mean girl behaviour clearly but that isn’t necessary and leaves you with the ick. All the other times I have been here have been pleasant, just surprised to see such a drastic change in quality of service tonight."

From the roasted yet smoothed bungalow, to the delicacies of carmelization, which can only be crushed professionally by pure...beef on a flat top, to the special seasoning mix (it is MSG right? It must be MSG; each component of a Delirious Burger is selected and cooked with intention. Do they have a huge menu with endless blows, mysterious sauces and fancy cheese? No. But let's be more honest than not, these kinds of places try for the fact that they only 't make a very good burger (and that comes from someone who loves the now notorious combination of peanut butter with his patty). But I would take a simple burger that is properly cooked and seasoned, with these classic topping options that we all know and love, fool Gimmicks every day over palate. "Democracy offers some of the best vegan food in the city. Especially her wings are the legend. That means the general feeling is from a restaurant whose owners are away on holiday and have left their teenagers in responsibility. Tipping is suggested at the time of service, although the only service is here to actually plop the food on your table. The expectation is that you will delete your own table and do your own sorting in recycling, garbage etc. Tables are wiped off sporadically. Food takes a long time to get to the table, often over 30 minutes. There's never an apology you're waiting for. My worst criticism is now, in the time of Covid19. When it first opened again, the restaurant changed to exceptional containers, as it served only with extra food. Now that the dining room is open, but the food is still served in plastic cutlery drawers. I ate there recently and my companion and I received an unpleasant, greasy cardboard box with wings in the middle of the table. We had to ask for separate sheets (ink paper). Clearing your own table is now to put most things in the garbage. There is absolutely no excuse for a restaurant with a dishwasher to use disposable plates and cutlery, unless it is a fast restaurant (and it is certainly not that). There is no evidence that plates and cutlery can make people sick from an industrial dishwasher and no other restaurant on the street uses disposable in their dining rooms. This is just laziness, and laziness is the landmark of this restaurant. Too bad the food is really good!"

"I was looking for a well lit place to have a late lunch/early supper and read my book. I live close by but have never been in Joya before.Right away there is complimentary green tea :) The restaurant was nice and warm even though I was seated near the front window-wall that lifts up in the summertime. Service was swift with a smile, food was good quality - I will likely return :) There is a 2nd floor where they take reservations for private parties.My two wishes are that there would be bento boxes on the menu, and wild not farmed salmon."
