"Stopped in for lunch while touring the island. It was the best decision ever. We had pizza, croissant sandwich and pastries. Nobody spoke English so a lot of pointing and sign language but we ended up with a great little meal!!"

"One of the things I wanted to experience on our trip to Quebec was a sugar shack. If for no other reason than it just seemed like a fun thing to do and it was! They offered a carriage ride around the grounds and...the atmosphere was jovial and friendly. The food was okay but a good variety and all you can eat for a good price. We enjoyed the accordion music and traditional songs. I even got to accompany on the spoons for a few minutes. Very fun! My main criticism is that we had no idea what we were doing and there was no attempt made to let us know (as English speakers) what to do or where to go a little confusing. The seats are assigned but we had no idea and sat in the wrong place. So, if you go, make sure you find out where to check in and find your seats. I also would have enjoyed some sort of short tour on the harvesting of the maple syrup. Overall a good time just be prepared to go along with the flow."

"We had two dinners here during a recent visit to Ile d'Orleans. Both times we were very satisfied with our food. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. We ate outside on the deck, which was very pleasant. Our waiters were very nice and helpful -- we speak only a little French, but they were very understanding and said that they were happy to practice their English on us. Dishes that we got and recommend include the fish and chips, shrimp salad, moules and frites, crab cakes, and salmon. Also they had local craft beer and nice desserts."
