"We spent a very wet and windy week in Cornwall. Found this coffee bar and wow it is was like a haven! They happily allowed our dog to come in and we had an excellent lunch, coffee and cakes. Everything was fresh and the service was brilliant. I have recommended it to friends who are holidaying in Cornwall soon. Thank you."

"Probably the best food i can remember ever eating!! Hats off to the chef's, best steak ever on the surf n turf, just melted in your mouth! and the mussels.... well thats another story, so fresh and perfectly spiced and paired with the chorizo. "WOW! What can I say! We had the Sunday lunch set menu and it was absolutely amazing. The snacks were so tasty especially loving the Charcuterie and pickles. The Dry aged Sirloin was melt in the mouth with the best Yorkshire Pudding and veg to match. Just about left room for the Sticky Toffee Pudding. All the staff were professional and really friendly. I can’t recommend enough and will look forward to booking again on our next visit."

"I had read good things about this restaurant and how busy it gets so tried my luck getting a table on a weekday evening. Unfortunately, there was a long wait which was disappointing! They have a pub downstairs if you fancy a drink or two while you wait for a call from them for when a table is available but I was not willing to wait that long for a table. Decided to do a takeaway instead as it was the food I was interested in. Placed the order online on their website and it was ready in good time. Chicken street style noodles, panang curry with prawns and coconut rice all blew our minds and exceeded my expectations of Thai food there. The portion sizes are good too. "Such an eclectic little cozy cafe up some stairs off Wharf Road. Very interesting framed views of the Harbour and it's interesting tidal movements.Really enjoyed Surf Shack, staff were super nice and helpful.....happy to have pics taken.Had some very nice coffees there, short macchiatos seem surprisingly hard to get right, but the barista here was spot on. Casual food, good service. I had some food intolerances and staff were very amenable to adjusting their menu items for me. Was there in June 2019..."
