"The food was ok . I do not like parsnips or sweet corn. But was told all cooked together.so did not have any vegetables at all .the tables are right next to each other we are talking inches apart .The place was warm as it was winter. But the toilet had No hot water .only one tape .I let the water run for a few minutes but still cold. When the food arrived see photo.i asked where was the rest of it. Was told that I did not ask for vegetables. They did bring out some more potatoes after I had complained . But was not happy I had to ask. The price for two Sunday lunch one cider and a diet coke Was £40.20 this was about the twelfth time we have been. In the last 5 years . We used to celebrate our birthdays there when staying local.on a number of times have booked a table for over 9 people.sorry to stay do not think we will be back again. Really need to sort out the presentation could have been much better.my wife's dinner was ok 4 out of 5."

"Took advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out offer. What a gem of a place Ben’s Kitchen is. The food was excellent and even at full price, great value for money. We’ll definitely be back. Only little thing that would need slight improvement was the time is took to be shown the specials and order for drinks and food to be taken, it wasn’t at all busy when we went. But the food made up for it."

"Such a real shame, this place used to be amazing and we loved going! Unfortunately after visiting recently for my partners birthday we had a terrible experience, awful service, food OK but not like it used to be (might have just been OK due to how long we had to wait and how hungry we all were) we arrived and we’re placed in the conservatory type room, it was EXTREMELY loud you couldn’t hear yourself think! With two elderly people in the family it was difficult for them and none of us were able to talk to each other therefore I asked the waitress if there was a possibility if we could move as the noise was just too much! There was a table sat next to us a group of girls who was just having a good time and we knew it wasn’t there fault for being loud but due to how the conservatory was built the noise just echos so everything sounds much louder.. the waitress then after speaking to us when straight to the table and started whispering whilst they all turned and looked at our table it made things so AWKWARD! None of us could then relax, the waitress did then come back and say another table had become available in the main building so we did move. Then the food well my dad is type 1 diabetic and it just took so long when we challenged how much longer it would take (as at this point we were so hungry and dad very low) the waitress did nothing more than print off the receipt and slap it on the table with our food and say look ‘only 40 minutes from placing the order’ no apology, no nothing. We were gobsmacked! Some of the food was just OK, some not great and when feeding back to the staff with specific details on why we weren’t happy they were very defensive again we got no apology. After spending over £200 in there, we got no recognition that we were really unhappy with our experience and some meals were not even touched. Unfortunately I won’t be going to the place ever again, and for future feedback I would be ensuring staff are trained on how to deal with negative feedback complaints appropriately."
