"We were recommended this restaurant and at first were a little sceptical as it was about 25 minutes walk from the bus station. But it was definitely worth the journey!The food is definitely one of the best I've had in the algarve. We had the tiger prawns as a starter and they were bigger than the size of my hand! The seafood rice included prawns, clams and a whole lobster and was very reasonably priced at €28 for 2 people, we finished with some almond cake as dessert. The best was definitely the seafood rice, I can't fault it. Although the tiger prawns were a little on e dry side for me and the almond cake is a little bit too sweet for my tastes, but overall this is an amazing restaurant and I wouldn't hesitate to visit again!The service was also excellent, we went at lunch and the owner/chef also acts as a waiter and told us how he cooks his food which is always a nice accompaniment. He mentioned that usually it is less busier for lunches so he is able to manage on his own.I would definitely say to go try this restaurant."

"We dined twice i this Restaurant The Food and Service was amazing We had the Seafood Rice which the Kids Inhaled they could not get enough and went back again for other dishes Local Food prepared with Care and Served with Flare Its a must if your staying in Sagres Off the Main road so you need to look for it but you wont be disappointed"

"Really nice and clean place. Good service, and the tapas we took (Gallician style octopus, roasted chorizo and calamares) were good portions for the price (compares to other ocean side villages in the area). Also recommend the Vino Verde! (White wine on the menu)"

"..... zumindest für den Mann, die Vegetarierin hat den Käse geschnabbelt.Wir haben schon mal schöner gesessen und auf besseren Stühlen, sind aber selten netter bedient worden und der Mann war sehr glücklich, dass er sich seinen frischen Fisch selbst aussuchen durfte. Nachdem dieser dann gebraten kam, hörte ich für eine Weile gar nichts mehr außer mmmmmm, lecker, großartig, mmmmmmmmmmmm ......"

"Here, at the big fishing port of Sagres, the fish is so fresh that it almost floats on its teller. most are displayed in the glass cabinet, but there are more in the kitchen. the kitchen is grilled, simple, no sauces: with chips or boiled spuds or...salad wein at the karaffe, beer at the glass. this is sensational eating so easy that they wonder why they did the michelin last time. it's busy: the personal runs, but every last of them is in good humor, they speak several languages, helpful and professional. my oz restaurant and weinkritic friend came with me and was blown away; ditto a French visitor of this week. we do not talk about fine eating or something close: outdoors and in the interior, Formica table, everything fundamental and useful, all makes the trick. the ambiente is the location and the environment: they will have the un food lovers there. drive them to the end of the harbour, and this unpretentious place is a walk up."

"Follow the chef recommondation! take the fresh fish! it's super delicious! I don't know about the other dinge in the menu, but I think this restaurant is for the fresh fish! beautiful autentic people also."

"Wir wurden vor unserem ersten Besuch im O Pescador (März 2016) nicht von schlechten Bewertungen beeinflusst und konnten so das Essen richtig genießen. Mittlerweile sind wir mehrfach dort gewesen, zuletzt im Januar und haben nichts zu meckern.Das Restaurant ist von außen nicht unbedingt einladend und im Innenbereich sehr schlicht eingerichtet. Der Service war immer nett und zuvorkommend; als das Lokal sehr voll war hat es etwas länger gedauert, aber immer im Rahmen.Wir haben dort mehrfach den Arroz de Peixe gegessen, der immer mit reichlich frischem Fisch, Garnelen und Muscheln bestückt war. Die Darreichung im Topf direkt auf den Tisch finden wir einfach klasse; außerdem bleibt es so schön heiß. Aber auch der Seeteufel-Spieß oder das Kaninchen waren sehr lecker. Die Nachspeisen haben wir nur selten probiert, da wir meistens keinen Platz mehr dafür hatten. Aber der Schokoladenkuchen war auch sehr lecker.Wir werden auch weiterhin Gast im O Pescador sein und das gute Essen genießen."
