"One of the best brunches I’ve had! The smashed pumpkin was heavenly! Generous portion and heaps of added extras taking it to the next level. My friend had the chili scramble which she loved to. An entire chorizo on top! We didn’t try the coffee but for the food alone I will be back. Sensational!"

"Had a really poor experience at this cafe this week, ordered "The Grace" and the gluten-free version of "The Grace". When the meals came out, the bread was *soaked* in a disgusting layer of relish that tasted like expired condiments that you would dip spring rolls into. We only received a mere tablespoon of avocado each which was unable to be identified in taste due to the overpowering relish. Coffees were good, bacon was a nice medium between salty and sweet, and the hash browns were golden and crispy. It was only after we left that we noticed one of us was overcharged for the gluten free version of "the grace" (which in future should be charged differently to the *regular grace* - as demonstrated by the difference between the regular and gluten free menus) and undercharged for an element of our meal. We will 100% not be returning to this cafe."

"Not sure why it gets so many bad reviews. Food was good fairly plain but I prefer that to heavily salted spiced, service was fine, the only issue was that it was noisy as it was well patronised. I'd go again for sure."

"We dined at Tulip last night and were blown away not only by the food, but by the experience and accommodation of the staff. The venue is situated on a gorgeous laneway, and the restaurant is intimate, clean yet quiet and noise does not echo. We were greeted with the drink menu which has an impressive variety of cocktails, wines and beers. I appreciate the option of being able to order a 'half glass ' of wine too useful when you can 't decide like me! The chef came over with a complimentary tomato and burnt chive oil drink which was a lovely way to start the meal and the flavours were incredibly fresh, unique and moreish I would come back for this alone! We had the set menu and had a gluten free member on the table the kitchen was amazingly compromising for this and provided gluten free options for everything. We also opted to not have the lamb on the menu and they were happy to replace it with another main dish. We were served bread, a buckwheat cracker, olives and butter as well as tomatoes and ricotta as entrees so fresh! A dish of snapper, nasturtium and peas followed which was the best dish I have ever eaten at a restaurant. Mains consisted of a roast chicken with hazelnuts and a rich gravy with a side of potatoes and rosmary butter and a bitter leaf salad. We never order dessert out but were so impressed we had to give it a try and it didn 't disappoint! A chocolate caramel fudge with puffed barley and a malted milk ice cream, a taste bud tantalising adventure that left us all wanting more. In addition, the staff wished me a happy birthday which was very special. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. Thanks for the wonderful experience Tulip! "Eating was good and venue was great, but service lacked that extra something. the kitchen is closed at 8.15 o'clock, which has hurried us a bit and the bar for last drinks closed at 9 o'clock. we were not offered dessert. if they hadn't rushed us, it would have been a much more beautiful experience."

"Fantastic ambience, interesting menu and good value for money, we found the service fairly flat and not overly attentive, but we enjoyed not being interrupted. The Bruschetta was fresh, but lacked olive oil and had not one leaf of parsley. My main of Lasagna was absolutely perfect. Flavour-filled, generous and hot. Certainly the best lasagna I have ever had at a restaurant. A cosy little restaurant."

"Organised an event here and the service and food exceeded expectations. The functions manager was amazing,answering all my questions and happy to alter things when the numbers fluctuated. The staff are so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The bar tender was great and...made some mean cocktails !!The outdoor function space is large and private. Would highly recommend for a function"

"Visited this place with a friend who loves kebabs. Tried chicken kebab and doner kebab , both of which were quite good. The breads were soft but the dips didn’t taste very well."
