When I moved to DC 40 years ago, I couldn 't find any Italian food that was like what I grew up on in New Haven CT. Until I met Uncle Tommy and Ledo 's. Even with today 's fancy trendy newcomers in the DMV, Ledo 's is still the most authentic...and I don 't have to shell out $40 for a pizza, either! Ledo 's won my heart in the 1990s, and still earns it today. I miss the old restaurant on University Blvd near Univ of M, but the franchises have retained the quality, recipes, and taste that Ledo 's is known for. Sure glad there 's a Ledo 's near my home! PS: and you don 't taste the cauliflower in the crust. It 's the best-tasting GF crust in the business — made fresh. Keeps down the calories and carbs!"
