"This place is one of my favorite places in Rossland before it got turned into a Gastropub. I dropped by for a afternoon snack and I got myself the John Candy burger with fries for the first time in years. It was juicier than the...last time I had it. The staff was nice and I made a joke towards the GM, who is a friend of mine. The next time I am there, I hope to be there with friends so we can have a business lunch/dinner."

"So my sister went in to get a simple afteros and roasted pickel. something they expect to do a 1st month cook in the location. I heard great cries and thought, hey, that's going to be great. sad at the arrival my sister...the on a layer cook ordering a 4.5 oz long island tee and drinking it before service was over. the chef was obviously drunk and went back to the kitchen to serve us our food (that was taken out) to get my food, I noticed that the tzatziki was badly done. it was as wet as an amazon regenstorm with gurken of obviously too large to melt with the sauce. no moisture from the added ingredients were sieved, so that it was made for a very casual slime. the pickles were badly broken and fried beyond the rettung and the afteros so badly together that pieces of green peepers overshake the chips they thought to rest. as an industrial worker myself I was infidel that a restaurant with such high status would allow such actions that I decided to call and ask the owner. I was hit by her so-called GM/Koch. he told me that it's in order that his chefs order drinks before their layer was over, but knew that he drank it before he went back to the kitchen. there was no possibility that my eating would have been unreasonably clipped out because he himself cut the whole vege on this day and if a pfeffer was bigger, then the chips would be served, I would receive compensation. the proof is in the pictures. but yet her chef refuses to be drunk. I must come from a lost culture that respects his craft, because this was a bad example of culinary skills and customer service. I just want to be drunk and serve me. Perhaps the alcohol inspector should visit their facility."

"Ordered from the menu online and recieved something completely different with mushrooms - which my room mate is allergic too. We called back and was told that the pizza in rossland is different then the menu for whistler, and a the Mexican pizza is "Chicken, Tomatoes, Mushrooms" ? how does that make sense. No refund no buddy cared just silence on the phone and "alright, Bye". Pizza is now in the garbage can and we're going somewhere else for dinner.PS: there was two hairs in our other pizza."

"The Alpine Grind was my first choice for breakfast partly because it has early hours and they served Oso Negro coffee. We actually got a complimentary bag breakfast at our motel but it was just an apple, juice box and a small muffin. I had...a feeling the Grind would deliver and they certainly did. I loved the multigrain frittata Breakfast sandwich. Full of egg, cheese, with a side of bacon and salsa. It was filling. The coffee was smooth and hot. Prices were reasonable. Thanks! Facility was clean, seating was spaced out. There was also outdoor seating. Local art adorned the walls. They also believe in recycling!!"

"Went here in good faith that it was good. The noodles were over cooked and mush. The beef was inedible because of the tough fat in it. The amount of cornstarch in my Pad Ki Mao left my mouth with each bite I took more starchy and feeling revolted. The 3 dishes we ordered we couldn't even start eating it was so unenjoyable. I took the food in, was respectful of the space and kept my words select and toned. The chef/owner of the kitchen came out and was instantly trying to combat my words saying there is nothing wrong with the food saying that I don't know Thai food at all because I'm white and that she isn't willing to take a cut on the amount that it cost to make the dishes which would have been very minimal. rice noodles, fat for meat, cornstarch and a whole lot of rude unprofessional attitude. I was mocked, humiliated and yelled at and I was being calm and collected. Never going here again. Not worth 50$ for 3 bites and to be called down on so much. 5 stars for the servers though they were apologetic and amazing. I could tell they felt embarrassed for the owners rudeness. They got to the point where they were talking quietly so the owner didn't hear them apologizing to me."

"The chocolate here is so good! They often have seasonal truffle flavours but my favourite is the Ella Fitzgerald :) If they have ganache-filled, chocolate dipped figs then try those as well - they are amazing. The marshmallows are made there and are also one of my favourite things."
