"Enfin j'ai pu déguster un menu à l'envers.... ce fut un moment très sympathique. Nous avons commencé par un espresso et son Limoncello suivi d'un vacherin glacé.... les plats ont alors suivi pour finir avec un Kir et des flûtes. Mon amie et moi, qui étions sceptiques, avons apprécié ce moment de détente. Les plats furent excellents et un très bon vin (Un Saint Emilion grand cru) a accompagné le tout. Prix corrects, personnel sympathique, nous avons passé un très bon moment. A refaire avec des amis...."

"We had purchased a passport for the Romandie region which offers the opportunity of going out for 2 or 4 saving 1 meal respectively on both occasions in any of the restaurants within this booklet.At first we called the Brasserie de la Forêt and, even though it states you should call at least 2 hours in advance, they told us that we need to call 2 days in advance. This seemed already a good start.Our second call was to the Restaurant du Lac de Bret where we were welcomed without hesitation and not even two hours in advance.When we arrived we already like the atmosphere of the restaurant very much with its cabinet of all different types of owls – it reminded us of a girl-friend of ours, a collector of owls herself. Then you had the Bar on which they had some excellent whiskies and in another showcase some greatly aged Armagnacs.The waiter was a very nice and open person and made us, even though we were not the only guests, feel very comfortable. The card showed some very fine dishes and we decided to go for the fish-soup for two called “Le Retour de Peche”. We started with a nice, small mixed salad which was already very well prepared, but the soup was simply magnificent with its splendid smell and all the different types of shellfish, muscles, and lobster – deeeelicious. To top it off we had had both a dessert, something I seldom order, but the Panna Cotta just smiled at me already from the menu whilst my wife ordered the Crème brûlée. I think it was one of the best, if not the best Panna Cotta I ever had, three small glasses of it with three different added flavours – a dream.It was an excellent evening which we will certainly repeat rather sooner than later."
