"I love a Subway cheap, plain enough for fussy kids, healthy ish, and a chain, so you know what you 're getting. Except from this one. Surly, incompetent service is pretty much guaranteed, but there 's ALWAYS something they 've run out of, some piece of equipment not working. No bread, on at least one occasion. It 's a sandwich shop! If you 're lucky enough to call in while the manager isn 't in, at least the staff are apologetic and friendly. Unfortunately, high staff turnover (unsurprisingly! means he 's often the only one in. Today, I checked my order with him 3 times, as he invariably gets it wrong and then argues with the customer. He told me 3 times that he 'd put cheese on my melted cheese sub. He hadn 't. I could see that he hadn 't. Previously he insisted I 'd asked for meatballs I hadn 't; I 've been vegetarian since childhood, so have never, ever asked for meat, anywhere! Can 't do much about today 's, as we 've had to come home and eat it (almost cold , due to the only 4 tables being crammed in together at one end of the shop, making social distancing impossible. Of course, hes adamant that '1m+ ' between tables (meaning by the time you pull out a chair you 're physically touching customers at the next table is sufficient. How anyone can get a simple sandwich so consistently wrong is beyond me!"
