"Stopped in with the wife and 5 kids on Labour Day weekend. On this visit we chose 3 different pizzas for a quick visit. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious! Drinks were tasty and cold. Views of the west shore are unbeatable, especially around sunset. Lots of action in the area as this restaurant is located next to the ferry docks so there is always something to see. We will be back.Parking: Lots of parking available in front of establishment as well as on both sides. Golf cart rentals available on site as well."

"WowWhere do I even begin!The service, atmosphere and food is all phenomenal.If you want a good lunch spot, come to the west view tavern!Kyndel was the best server I’ve ever had in my life!! She was attentive and very friendly. She even took a selfie with me.The bar decor was simply exquisite. The mid 1970s architecture with a rustic accent is an absolute delight to look at! The walls are decorated in art, axes, and other really neat tools. The staff constantly revitalize the atmosphere with playful themed signs and decor! I especially liked the picture of “big red” who was a historic community leader on Pelee Island. This building should be designated a national monument to Great Service! PERIOD."

"At the moment you step into the restaurant, it is bright, fun loving, cheerful. I love the multitude of sea/lake themed decorations.The staff is very nice, warm and welcoming and their service is excellent! I was impressed when the waitress remembered me even though the last times we came were 2013, 2014. She and I hugged like old time friends who had not seen each other for some time. I'm not one to normally drink alcohol, so when I tell you their long island iced tea and their drink called "parrot juice" are "to die for", you can trust me - they truly are! They offer a very nice selection of meals - everything is wonderfully prepared and presented. People will go there for the seafood, however, they always offer a popular non-seafood dish, (for example, roast beef dinner with all the trimmings) for those who are not seafood lovers. I'm always tempted to have the traditional non-seafood meal, because just looking at it makes my mouth water, but I usually end up going for the fish since we can't get this type of fish at home where I live."

"I booked this thinking it was for a table on the pavilion and not knowing this was for a tour. Either I missed something or the booking info wasn’t clear. When I came to check in, an attendant told us to go stand at the front and wait for another attendant to assist us. So we proceeded there, which is when we got shuffled into a tour, we weren’t aware we were even signed up for. I had two kids with me who were hungry. I tried not to disturb the others on the tour so I called the general line to ask about the pavilion, which is when i was told that the reservation wasn’t required for the pavilion. Also, since we were in the tour for a some time I believe it’s important to mention that the tour guide we had Ea was very nice and hospitable. But I would say that some basic knowledge about the winery wasn’t known to them, such as a question as simple as “when was pelee island established?” wasn’t answered with certainty. The tour also included strange inclusions such as looking at and discussing the cacti in the front entrance. The pavilion atmosphere was nice. Food not good and limited options. Wine was good. We always enjoy the Baco Noir. The lawn games and kids playground is a great addition and family friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our outing at Pelee Island Winery on the island just have those few notes about Open Table reservations, that the tour could be improved and the food could be better."

"I would like to make this review by saying that I cannot fully criticise a business for work, everyone has it today. We visited Stone House late in the season, understandably, they did not have their entire menu available. Not enough staff to deal with the massive dinner they fought with. Stonehouse 1891 is a great restaurant/bar on the island of Pelee. Great place to catch a view of Lake Erie. Food is on the expensive side. My friend and I had coconut shrimp, poutins, chicken bread pizza and mushroom truffle pizza. Yarn was acceptable, typical roasted shrimp with sweet Thai chili sauce. The poutin was acceptable. Real cheese. Our pizzas took a long time to get out. We got them to go, but they ate when we came back to the camp. Taste wasn't great. I think the dough needs more salt, and the next time to order them well, because I think these pizzas were baked. I think $18-20 for a less than 12 pizza is no great value. We got no water or our cocktails for 20-30 minutes. My friend's frozen mojito was delicious. My coffee drink was okay, kind of watery. The shrimps and poutins came out after a short wait, but we waited for at least 40 minutes on pizza. We arrived at 545 a.m. and we're only gone at 8:00 a.m. I would like to praise the staff in Stone House, I was informed that the staff were weakened to work underoccupied. I intend to check this facility closer to the high season. Despite this experience I intend to return, it is a picturesque place to stop for a drink."
