"This is the 'local' in Origlio. During the week, you'll bump into the local's around the table with their after work rounds, and locals will come in for an uncomplicated dinner of pizzas, salad and deserts. At the week-ends it's wall to wall full with...locals enjoying their obligatory pizzas and pasta. The pizza stands head and should above what you get in Lugano. No pizza is more than francs (so quite a bit cheaper than Lugano), and if you don't want a specific topping, the restaurant will actually deduct some money from your bill! The place to go for a relaxed dinner."

"Ristorante molto semplice, senza fronzoli. Una sala davanti al bancone e la vetrata, un altra nel retro. Specialità portoghesi, con altri piatti di carne e pesce di ottima fattura. Pasta fatta in casa e pizza molto buona. Consigliatissimo."

"From time to time, I visit this restaurant with friends who like it much. The place is in a convenient location, with enough parking lots in its proximity, and it can accommodate lots of people. Despite that, booking is suggested as it gets crowded more...often than not. I normally order pizzas, which are very large and with generous amounts of toppings; the dough is nothing spectacular, crispy and thin. Waiting times can be long, service is mostly friendly and prices OK, not low but more or less on average with other similar restaurants. Overall 3.5/5"

"At our last two visits in lugano we have eaten in the canvetto federale and have come very happy from each other. the seasonal menu is written on a table and our meal times were of high quality and taste. some of the best cooked fish I've ever eaten. the personal tried to teach us and our lack of Italian, we tried very hard to learn some new Italian words to read the menu! very recommended here."
