"Sehr gemütlich im schönen Oggau am schönen Neusiedlersee im schönen Burgenland!Ich wurde gleich sehr nett und familiär aufgenommen, der Madini ist als Aperitiv eh schon bekannt:) und die anderen Weine sind ausgezeichnet!Ich als Vegetarierin der ersten Stunde hab mir problemlos den Bauch voll schlagen können:) Ich komme ganz sicher wieder!!!"

"We were so excited about going to this restaurant, and how we wished we didn’t bother. It was my husbands birthday weekend and we had tried to book a package at the hotel and restaurant, but the hotel was full, so decided to stay close...by and go to the restaurant. We pulled up in the taxi and I have to say by the outside I was very disappointed, but as we went through the door, we had such a lovely greeting by the staff, and was showed into a cosy bar, I thought lovely. We were immediately asked if we wanted drinks, and my husband said he would like two bottles of champagne, the waiter came back almost immediately with two bottles, I thought this was strange as he should have shown us a menu to see what champagne my husband wanted to order, after he poured it, we all said it didn’t taste like champagne, we don’t know as we were never shown the bottle, but were charged 110 euros per bottle for the privilege, even in Vienna where live, in top class restaurants you can get excellent champagne way under that price, we said nothing as we didn’t want to spoil the evening, but alarm bells were already ringing. We were seated at a nice table and were presented the menu, I can only say I was so confused by it, and never been to a Michelin Star restaurant and had to pay extra for potatoes and carrots, and we have been to many all over the world. A friend then looked at the wine list, and there were no wines under 100 euros, and being in a wine region where we had been wine tasting, and been to many wine regions in Austria, we know what the wine costs, it was so unbelievable they could charge these ridiculous prices for wine, all other Michelin Star restaurants we have been to, have offered wines from reasonable prices, up to thousands per bottle, so there was always something for everyone. I decided to order the fish, I didn’t have an entrée, so was really hungry when my meal came, and oh my goodness what a disappointment, it was cold, we did immediately raise it with the waiter, who took it away, when a very rude maitre de mansion told me I didn’t know what I was talking about, it was then returned with some oil over it still cold and tasted horrible. Buy this time we decided we had all had enough, as there had been long waits on all the food and it wasn’t worth waiting for, they did take my fish off the bill, but I was starving by this time. We did check the next day on the Michelin Star Guide for the whole of Austria and this restaurant isn’t on the list, it’s not even on the Bib gourmand. I hardly ever write reviews, but felt I had to as this spoilt my husbands special birthday and a very special weekend away with friends."

"Super Lage direkt am See, äußerst freundliches Personal, Service schnell und zuvorkommend. Trotz top Lage sind die Preise überraschenderweise "normal". Die Speisen sind nett angerichtet groß und sehr gut. Nachteil: Parkplatz ist nur 1 Std. gratis."

"Amazing wines, rich, elegant and structured (especially the red) and beautifully served in a great location. It was one of my best escape-to-the-countryside trips from Vienna. I was there in a rainy day. They have a nice garden outside and great place indoor with a lot of atmosphere and elegance (where I enjoyed the great wines served in proper glasses). It is also suitable for family as they have few farm amimals outside (goats and hens). I will definitely go back."
