"We hit this place up for dinner and drinks. First off it had a nice publike atmosphere and decor. Good selection of beers. Our waitress was friendly and informative about the menu. My wife ordered pierogies and ennoyed them. I had the fish and chips. The fish was wonderful, chips good, cole slaw was a bit on the dry side. But overall a good experience. Would likely revisit if in St. Catharines again."

What User doesn't like about The Blue Mermaid: Everything about this place is ancient, including the menu, and the food and service was mediocre. Mandatory masks apparently don’t apply to the owners and some of the wait staff, which made me very uncomfortable. Owners and staff should be held accountable and act responsibly...during the pandemic and if they genuinely cared about their clientele (the majority were seniors) they would put their masks on! read more.
