"This is by far the best hütte I have been to in my entire skiing career (10 years +). It is run by a family, who are very hospitable and welcoming. The place is very traditional and very Austrian. Has great local dishes and if you are lucky with the weather - a barbecue outside and a bar where you can get your aperol. If you are after an authentic Austrian experience, this is the place to go."

"We've been coming to this bar for over 10 years, but today I arrived alone to wait four friends who were skiing. The bar was busy, very smokey and not pleasant. I ordered and paid 1 glue. The others arrived about 20 minutes later and ordered 2 gluh wine and 2 large beers from the female bar person who went on a tab. Two of us then left the others to end and pay. The smokey atmosphere was so that none of us wanted to stay for more than one drink and we opened the window to get some fresh air. They were then asked to pay for 5 beers and 2 gluh wine, which was the female bar person she had, even though the barman who served me was positive our friends were right. An argument led to paying for what they had and were asked to go. I had already decided not to go again unless the atmosphere was better, so they made the decision for me, and we will take our custom elsewhere. The owner was very rude, clearly gave no handbag over his moses and deserves our custom anyway. Well done, whoever he is, we won't darken him again. I'm going now to destroy our ski equipment!"

"Wir waren in 2014 und 2015 jeweils einmal zu Abendessen im Steindlwirt. Leider müssen wir festhalten, dass die Qualität sich weiter verschlechtert hat und wir keinen weiteren Besuch mehr vornehmen werden. Bekannt ist uns das Restaurant aus vielen Besuchen in früheren Jahren (2004 ff) und hierbei war es eines unserer Favoriten. Ursprünglich, gutes Ambiente, dörflich, nette Bedienung, Speisenauswahl sehr ansprechend, Qualität einwandfrei - es lud zum Wiederkommen ein. In 2014 waren wir schon etwas verwundert, denn die Anzahl der Speisen war zurückgegangen, die Qualität gegenüber den früheren Jahren schlechter. Aber noch akzeptabel. In 2015 wurden wir bitter enttäuscht. Der (wegen Urlaubsbeginn) bestellte Prosecco war ohne jegliches Leben. Die Anzahl der angebotenen Speisen war weiter merklich zurückgefahren - die in der Homepage angepriesenen Schmankerl waren nicht zu finden. Das bestellte Essen war geschmacklich teilweise zu beanstanden. Es fehlte an Gewürzen (nicht nur Salz oder Pfeffer), das Fleisch recht trocken, gerade noch warm. Wir haben die Beanstandungen dem Kellner natürlich gesagt. Die Entschädigung in Form eines Schnaps aber dankend abgelehnt. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht!"
