"We visited the crown for Sunday lunch , it was a superb experience, the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, beautiful roast beef , succulent roast chicken and delicious fish and chips , I cannot find fault with anything and all I can say is , thankyou. We will be back"

"Really tasty food with my wife and kids. Slightly awkward ambience for a short period caused by the customer at the next table (see previous review) deciding to be rude to the waitress unnecessarily, making her cry. When the proprietor removed him (and his seemingly embarrassed partner) the rest of the punters and ourselves had a lovely evening. Will return. Great to have a venue serving truly local sourced food and drinks, and to have this pub back up and running."

"Had a beautiful day meal. the bark that most of us had melted in the mouth, nicely made and not cooked over, as some places tend to do. Although the only light criticism we had was that the chicken high premium was not exactly as expected. the chicken leg we served was very small and raised a few food from the family. in any case would visit again, although we hear that the pub is now for sale. Hopefully, whoever buys, it takes up because it probably has room to do well."
