"Hibby's is place to go once you've done all your day trips in around West Plains. The parking lot is always packed because the food and service is fantastic!! Stop in, grab some fried green beans and a Yankee pot roast sandwich. Don't forget to ask for Wilma, she's a great waitress that won't steer you wrong! She was very attentive and didn't look at me funny when I asked for au jus for the sandwich. Overall reviews don't do Hibby's justice, just take the town's word for it. "We waited 20 minutes at the drive thru window, only to get told no cabbage for the shrimp tacos, no big deal substituted with lettuce, waited even longer, got our food, pulled into a parking spot to eat it, pulled 2 tacos from the bag they immediately fell apart into my husbands lap, there was so much sauce on the 1 tortilla that it dissolved away (dramatic I know but truth) paid $30 to get 4 tacos filled with sauce, lettuce, and 3 pieces of shrimp! I took them back in and got my money back! Highly disappointed!"

"I was referred to this restaurant by the girl at the front desk of the Holiday Inn Express. I asked where I could get a good steak and she told me this is the place. She admitted her brother is the cook there so she is biased, but she thinks it 's good. They cook the steak over an open flame and it was cooked to perfection (medium rare) with the perfect amount of seasoning. The owner walks around visiting with his regulars and he even came over to chat with me and asked where I 'm from. I felt like I was in a episode of The Andy Griffith Show because everyone was so friendly. I will definitely come here again next time I 'm in town. "I had a great time with the family. The staff is always incredibly nice and was always a clean environment. We ordered ice cream and shortly after that we got it to one of the gentlemen cane about us and asked if we will order ice cream tonight and we said no thanks, and he answered that he was just checked before he switched off the machine. I thought that was so thoughtful and very friendly!"
