"The menu and the food was simple, this is not fancy cooking. Though I have no benchmarks to measure Portuguese food by it tasted good to me. By the quantity of Portuguse customers ordering the grilled cod or steaks from the outdoor barbeque or the roasted veal and lamb, this is what they do they do well. I also enjoyed the rice, beans and cabbage stew with small sardines. Big portions. The welcome was excellent. We got the waiter who spoke English who looked after us carefully. The singing patron also has good English and a strong singing voice which we heard on our second visit Saturday evening ended with a party style sing-song. No singing at a weekday lunch but food and welcome just as good."
