"Really a diamond at the shore of the Walensee: stunning view on lake and mountains, private beach, superb dining, romantic/festive atmosphere outside beneath old trees and lots of history in the three dining rooms inside. All run by a very friendly family and excellent staff. We felt welcome from the very beginning and had a great stay and dinner."

"Haben verschiedene Menus probiert - allen in der Gruppe hat ihr Essen vorzüglich geschmeckt, von den Kleinen bis zu den Erwachsenen! Auch die Nachspeisen/Desserts sind traumhaft und grosszügig portioniert gewesen! Das Essen und die Desserts waren alle sehr schön angerichtet und sahen viel leckerer und besser aus, als auf den bislang hier geposteten Bildern. Und der Service war auch super und freundlich!Wir haben das Mittagessen im neuen Anbau eingenommen. Hier ist es hell, gemütlich und die Akkustik sehr angenehm. Für die Nachspeise bieten sich die beiden Terrassen vor dem Haus mit schöner Weitsicht an. Von der tiefer gelegenen hat man Überblick über den tollen Spielplatz des Restaurants: Lange Rutsche, Spielauto mit Kiessandplatz und Sandkastenzubehör, Schaukel, Federwippe, Kletterturm und Trettraktore!Zum Restaurant gelangt man aus dem Dorfkern per Auto oder bei schönem Wetter noch angenehmer mit der Sesselbahn: Nur 10min. zu Fuss von der Sesselbahnstation oder mit kleinem beabsichtigtem Umweg etwas länger.Von der Sesselbahnstation aus startet der Munggeweg (Murmeltier-Rundweg mit Themenposten, ca. 2h), der sich vor oder nach dem Restaurantbesuch für Familien anbietet. Ausserdem können etwas oberhalb des Restaurants Trottinetts für eine Abfahrt nach Amden gemietet werden (erst ab 12 Jahren).Wir können das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder!"

"This only concerns the restaurant. beautiful view from the terrace and glass-side restaurant. we ordered a fondue that was really expensive at 26 chf each and was served only with cut brot. Given the speed with which it appeared, I guess it was a microwaved package version and only regular brot not the krusty pieces that they would normally expect. we have the meal two days later in our airbnb for approx. 20chf revived for 3 people. overall, beautiful setting but pricy for what it is."
