"We had a change of plans, so ended the late Friday afternoon to dinner. the weather was nice and still a lot of space on the terrace so that is where we ended. service was good and the margaritas were great and tasty. our favourite meal is the pollo loco, which we ordered in exactly every Mexican restaurant on the west side. that was by far the worst food we were served by each of the Mexican restaurants in the Moines area. a favorite of us is the cheese sauce that is to crush the meal. with the meal we were served when there were cheese sauce, we couldn't find them. so basically, we ended up with grilled chicken breast with a twee. I'm not sure why she was so different. instead of the typical fried rice, her was only white rice, which was very blanching. Maybe that's the way it should be, but we didn't approve. we also asked for flour tortillas and ended served mais that we did not have a fan of. too many other good choices for mexiko here, we will never again."

"Worst Bruegger's Bagels experience my cousin and I have ever had. Before, it was very good but this time it is very low quality. It wasn't busy. The workers were very rude and impatient. Many ingredients weren't available. Almost every topping seems like it has an upcharge. Would not reccomend, better off going somewhere else for your money and with better service."

"This place has wonderful pizza and EXCEPTIONAL customer service. My friend has a severe gluten allergy and they took special care of her to make sure she would have a pizza that she could enjoy and not make her sick. I had one of the pizzas that were on the list, but they gave me just a few suggestions that made it even better. I've only been to the one at Valley West Mall, but it's highly recommended."

"Wow, what a gem. Mandarin has an excellent American family Chinese menu, with a number of classic dishes that must people will geek comfortable around, like garlic chicken and Kung Pow shrimp, but their more traditional menu is where they really shine. The staff were friendly, and the hostess was both polite and attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, with tailored recommendations for what I was looking for, rather than just house specials. We started with an American set of staples- Rangoon and pork pot stickers, all of which were excellent and prepared quickly. I was caught a bit by surprise by the sauces- the Rangoon came with what was clearly a house made sweet and sour, and the potstickers a sesame oil based sauce, and were very flavorful without having the overwhelming salty and sticky sweet most Chinese places utilize for their respective sauces. I was also offered spicy mustard, and was pleasantly surprised by the taste; it was clean, spicy hot like you would expect, but had the grassy and green overtones that only really come from fresh horseradish or grated Wasabi, which was entirely unexpected. It's clear the back of the house has a lot of experience, and both pride and love for the quality in their food. They seem to specialize in Southern Chinese and Korean fare-you won't find a lot of Northen Schezuan dishes, but a lot of things that may be unfamiliar but very tasty. I ended up getting chow fen (a bit of a comfort dish with beef, wide rice noodles a bit like rice papperdelle, celery, scallions, bean sprouts, carrots, onions, and a beefy, umami sauce), while my SO got Tza Jiang Mein (shredded pork and tofu with onions and flat rice noodles and a deep, rich black bean sauce). Both were excellent, mild, well seasoned, and served rather quickly. My beef was tender, juicy, and flavorful, and my SO's tofu and pork were also well made, both crispy on the outside and tender within. I will absolutely be coming back. Where Heavenly is the place to stop for excellent Northern Chinese cuisine, Mandarin is the place to stop for excellent Southern Chinese cuisine (though I plan to try the Bibimbap next time to get a taste of their Korean fare)"

"The food was great. Nice spiciness to the ziti. Very fresh. Also the chicken Florentine was perfect. Good sized portions. Friendly staff. You might consider a nice crusty French loaf to replace the little rolls that are provided. Always seems to me the little rolls are lackluster for such a great restaurant."
