"This was the highest-rated restaurant on TripAdvisor I think, but I was also happy to see it on HappyCow. Delicious Indian food with lots of veggie options in a comfortable, casual atmosphere. The server tried to tell us not to order too much because the portions were big, but we sort of went for it... we needed to take a walk afterward .. She also said to take the little icon of the chile next to some of the menu items seriously, which we *did* listen to. Great meal and after everything it also felt like a good deal."

"Would highly recommend this lovely restaurant. A good choice of food. Well priced for Swiss standards. Friendly service with a lovely ambiance in the evening. I would however recommend you book beforehand if it is in the ski season, we managed to squeeze a table for two , they staff were so obliging but had we been a bigger group of people it might have been harder. This will definitely be our go to restaurant when we are in Engelberg. But next time I will book ahead of our trip."

"My husband I spent last weekend at the Bänklialp hotel and had dinner there too. The service was excellent, the menu selection good, the quality of the food superb! A lovely unpretentious restaurant! You need to try their Apple celery soup with walnuts. Divine!"
