"“Gasthof Grabmayer” is a restaurant situated in the hamlet of Schrauding a little outside of Frohnleiten. We found its interior tastefully decorated in a rustic style. The comprehensive standard menu included many classics of the Austrian and regional cuisines, but also a few special, creative dishes. It was complemented by a menu of the season dominated by asparagus dishes.Staff was friendly and well-trained. Since not only the dining rooms but also the terrace were packed with guests, service was perhaps somewhat more sluggish than usual, yet not to an extent would have been inconvenient. In spite of that, the waiting time from ordering to receiving our meals was short indeed. We had a “Maritimer Salat” and a “Jägerpfandl” either of which cost only about 10 euros. Very cheap for a restaurant of this standing! Notwithstanding that, portions were large. We would have expected only a few small pieces of fish fillet on top of the salad, but in reality, this was almost an entire fish platter with ample salad underneath.Thus, according to our experience, “Gasthof Grabmayer” is an ambitious restaurant well above average as far as quality is concerned, whereas its price level does not exceed the average."

"We decided to have dinner in the house of rois and because of the fact that the restaurant has a good call in the spacious graz and so far has much more than a secret tip is also reserved. When we arrived, we were also happy about our reservation, because the parking lot was rammelly. when entering the local area, the ground was also clear: in the large room was a big birthday party with a lively music. if we had announced this at the reservation, we could have set ourselves up or decided to another local...If this had disturbed us, we could have left it locally...we didn't care and so we took place in the stylishly renovated wine cellar. the room is not separated by a door and so we also heard the music of the birthday party, however our laune and above all our appetit did not break down.We chose beef tartar as well as an appetit variation and both something very good. also the suppe - of course homemade from the best steirische rind - were spooned from our two children to the last rest.As a main dish we decided to "rose roasted kalbsfilet" as well as a seasonal economical dish. our daughter stayed with the classic child-woman. for our son, there was nothing on the big card and so we asked the head of the house, whether he could prepare a pasta carbonara, which was not on the card. that was not a problem and the special dish was served shortly after ordering with fresh herbs refined.Although we were already satisfied, we could not resist the desserts and also here tasted the homemade sorbet variations as well as "coffee""
