"It was a privilege, officiating the marriage of a young couple at this stunning place. Already the welcome was superb, with drinks offered on this sunny day by the owner and host, in the rolling hills of the Emmental. The wedding ceremony took place on the freshly mowed pasture, under blue sky with a perfect view to the mountains and down the valley. The apéro was served next to the beautiful, big farmhouse, in the shade, in a relaxing atmosphere. The offer ranched from organic meat, homegrown vegetables and homemade bread, which tasted superb. Several music groups relaxed the wedding guests. It was a pleasure to watch the staff serving everyone with joy. In addition, the house offers bed and breakfast as well as small mass-accommodation, they serve top notch brunches and meals, for big groups. This is the ideal place for a longer stopover with tourists from overseas. Very warm, welcoming staff, in the middle of the rolling hills in the Emmental. Definitely a place to go to for excellent local food with big groups."

"We were able to enjoy a very fine lunch with our cyclist group. The service was very friendly, courteous and perfect. The food tasted excellent, everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented on the plate. The price/performance ratio was absolutely fine. We would be happy to be guests at the Bären again the next time we drive through. Vegetarian options: Perfect and fresh"

"Nach dem überqueren des Schalenbergpasses von Thun her ein muss, hier auf dem grosszügig erstelltem Parkplatz sein Vehikel abzustellen und in der tollen Gartenwirtschaft / Gaststube einzukehren. Da darf man nicht vorbei fahren. Das Merengue in der ganzen Portion können wir nur zu Zweit ohne vorherige Speisen geniessen. Das müsst Ihr alle mal erlebt haben. "Kemmeriboden Bad" kann hier nicht mithalten."

"Wenn man abends ins Restaurant geht, wird man ziemlich schnell bedient. Allerdings ist es variabel, wie stark die Gläser gefüllt sind oder auch nicht. Nachbestellung ist kaum möglich, weil Bedienung einfach nicht mehr kommt.Hat man zum Essen reserviert, ist es auch schon vorgekommen, dass Esswaren ausgegangen sind und es für das vorbestellte Menü nicht reichte. Das Essen hat an Qualität verloren, die Getränke sind teurer, aber die Bedienung schlechter... Sehr schade für ein solch tolles Restaurant, wies mal war..."
