"Actually, we wanted to go to Italy, we had a voucher for Christmas. But the project bloomed because, although we were on the mat shortly after 6:00, we were not reserved. We had no plan B that had to be born on the way back in the car. And while we were thinking about driving along the road, we discovered the place “The Greek” a few meters ahead. In short, we had a plan B and controlled the free parking directly. We entered the restaurant, were kindly received by a male service and asked for the reservation. Of course not, but it wasn't a problem, we were accompanied to a table. After we had taken place, my look cried in the room. The restaurant offers about 50 seats and, apart from us, all the free tables were marked with “maintained”. It was also striking in the positive sense that there were no decorative, Greek-looking nips that disappeared the room. Instead of the frequently occurring "dolmet scissors" made of paper, white, reinforced fabric napkins were used, and each of the tables covered an almost white rose. Also the cutlery was to be used as such and of corresponding value, not as the most commonly used cheap variant below the barracks level. This is all positively surprised and brings 4.5* for the ambience. The menu is quite clear from the area, next to the “Greek Classics” of the main card (e.g. Gigantes, Saganaki, Bifteki, Gyros etc.), there were also the recommendations of the kitchen as a separate insert. From which we decided as an appetizer: Refined goat cheese with honey and Mediterranean herbs – 7,90€ Tzatziki – 4,00€ and in the main course: fillet of Dorade and Loup de Mer in mustard sauce on leaf spinach with potato pots and side salad 18,90€ Baby Calamaris grilled with lukewarm Mediterranean The waiting times for food and drinks were pleasant, the Lord in service was friendly and polite, 4* are reasonable. There was nothing to complain about cleanliness – including toilets, here also 4*. Madame's congratulated goat cheese came visually as a highlight, it was also a revelation for her with the combination of honey and Mediterranean herbs. My Tzatziki was not as original as the goat cheese, but was also very tasty and not beaten by garlic. The bread served was similar to filled bread, was warm and also delicious. In the meantime it was 7 p.m. and up to a two table it was all occupied until the last place. So that was the name we were able to reserve before the next visit, we really had luck with our spontaneous visit. The supplemental salads were unfortunately not the optimum, here you need to help with balsamico and olive oil, but that was also the only weakness of the evening. The main course was served and I did not again badly how nice the individual products were arranged on the plates, so I had not seen anything like that in Greek restaurants! Tastefully both dishes played on a level that far above the expected. Madame ́s Dorade and the Loup de Mer were perfectly cooked and completely free of bones. The mustard sauce super delicious, the fresh leaf spinach – which had hidden under the fish fillets, tastefully tasted, the potato turns in an ideal supplement. My grilled baby Calamaris was surrounded by a caper olive oil-Calc-Calc-Marine with light garlic notes and a cocktail tomato. The pigs were perfectly cooked and made an extraordinary taste experience with the marinade! The Mediterranean vegetables (Paprika red, orange and yellow, zucchini was cooked to bite and tasty, top the wild herbs were caught in olive oil marinade. The frits were definitely carved and roasted in oil. They were unsalted in a bowl, but that was not bad, the salt mill was on the table. Everything together has tasted excellent and surprised us positively. A dessert is rarely chosen with us, but this time Madame whispered to Schokolapita, a small chocolate with vanilla ice cream. Here too she was full of praise, besides the very successful dresses of dessert, the taste of the dish was not at least bad to say, not even delicious. The ice was probably not itself, but still delicious. Given all these components and the fact that our expectations were far exceeded, I give a good conscience 4.5* for the food, the extra salad has prevented the full score. The addition to the restaurant name “Taverna with upscale cuisine” (so stands on the homepage is absolutely right here, and especially the “high” is not reflected in the price. The PLV is fine, the quality of food is more than reasonable because you cannot complain so that you want to forgive 4.5* Conclusion: We were rarely more positively surprised, here we were definitely not for the last time! And after a long, even very long time I found again “a Greek”, where I like to eat."
