"Absolutely awesome diner, the plates are packed to the brim with very delicious selfmade foods that are enough for a German Viking like me. Also they have the most energetic and high spirited waitress I have ever seen, that alone made my day! Great place all around!"

"Nice little coffee shop with a bookstore inside it. Friendly staff and a small selection of sandwiches and pastries to go with your coffee. I had the Mexicano. It was good."

"Went for a bite and drink after kayaking. First time to the area and it was recommended of course by the Quarterdeck Hotel where we were staying. The pub is really worn out and the floors are sticky from something being spilled on them. The entire place is run down and the bathrooms were horrible. Husband had chicken wings and I had soup of the day, beef vegetable. Both were ok, nothing great. Staff were friendly enough but the place was just awful. Will not return. There must be better options to choose from in Port Hardy."

"The food was fine. Better than we expexted as the restaurant is rundown and haphazardly put together. I was unpleasantly surprised when the hand-written bill contained a charge for water. Off-putting."

"I visited the Thunderbird Mall early one morning in July 2019 during my visit to Port Hardy. Most of the shops in the mall had not yet opened but I was lucky that the Subway was open at 8 am. I could get some Subs packed for breakfast and take-away. The mall is located centrally in the shopping area of Port Hardy town."

The rotunda style room felt like being in a lighthouse, or wheelhouse! After that, we were disappointed. A very limited selection of beer on tap or bottle. The service was appalling. We asked twice for napkins after ordering wings (they were okay) and finally had to go to the bar to get them. We ordered fries, and never got them. Don’t go there hungry! Go for the view!"
