"Ukai Toriyama was SO GOOD. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Japanese dining experience. The atmosphere was amazing, and we were taken to private little houses with a glass wall overlooking a koi pond. They even told us June-August is hotaru season, so the gardens are filled w fireflies at night. Reservations are a must. Other than the food being really good, the service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, informative about the dishes, and super attentive (you will never have to ask for water lol), making sure that every guest is well taken care of and has a memorable experience. As for pricing, we each paid 12.5k yen for the set meal we chose (chicken and beef), but it was 100% worth it for the quality of the food and the overall experience. There 's even a free shuttle service that takes you back to the train station."

"We love this sushi shop! Always get plenty of food for the cost. Time to be seated depends on when you go. We went the day after new years and waited an hour to be seated, but most days we are seated in less than 15 minutes. I love being able to order via the tablet as it makes it really easy. Especially when we first got to Japan and were wary of how to order in places off base."

"It’s an alright burger spot. As an American it doesn’t really hit the ‘taste of home’ style of burgers. More tasting like a Salisbury steak on a bun. It’s super overpriced too. $60 for 2 burgers with lettuce and tomato and onion rings and two sodas. I’d probably just hit up McDonald’s if I wanted a burger to eat next time or make it at home."

"TLDR: One of my favorite omelette rice in Tokyo. The cream shrimp omelette rice is my favorite dish. Smooth in the mouth, balanced taste. —————— Pro: 1. Cheap but really delicious. Amazingly cooked egg is perfectly half liquidated, looks beautiful and tasted really smooth. The white creamy sauce is so balanced that you’ll never feel it’s too rich. 2. The rice tastes flavorful but not too sweet or salty. It tasted really like “fried rice”. 3. Retro interior, really cool store. It’s not new at all, but I like it. —————— Cons: 1. "Trendy but relaxed restaurant offering some impressive vegetable focussed dishes and decent wines. The sharing board of fried vegetables is great, especially if you’re in need of something other than rice or noodles. But everything is deep fried, so don’t expect anything virtuous. I love that this is a genuine farm restaurant, growing and selling their own produce. There are options for vegetarians like the gratin but the staff then said it contains chicken stock. Service was efficient but cold."

"Absolutely delicious, and totally vegan menu. The cooks/owners were so kind and even gave us a vegetarian map of Tokyo. Can't recommend this place enough. Even though it's very small (less than 10 seats) please stop by if you can!"
