First time in Abilene and knew I had to try the local bbq After reading Yelp reviews we decided to try Stillwater.
Really good Barbeque with great sides Brisket was tender and juicy Sauce was on the sweeter side but still good.

"I’ll start off by saying, I am a huge TXRH fan. From The Colony, TX, to Kissimmee, FL Lubbock, TX. I love the brand. Service was slow. It seemed like the kitchen was backed up, which is understandable! That place was packed! Got my Killer Ribs app after 25 minutes of waiting finally, and decided to just get my entree togo. That took just as long unfortunately, but it was all good, I expected my food to be absolutely delicious so it was worth the wait, ya know? Well it wasn’t. I get back to my hotel, and I find that the salmon is hard, hardly seasoned, and dry. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were sitting in a burnt well for too long, and the lettuce for my Caesar salad was beginning to wilt/redden. During my visit, I found out they no longer carry peanuts at this location. Strange, because Lubbock’s TXRH offers bags of peanuts, and even though they are complimentary there, I never mind paying for them. Just a highly unsatisfying visit overall. Paid $30 tip, and all I had to eat was half of the side Caesar salad and the Killer Ribs app. Bartender was nice at least and got me a togo Dr.Pepper and a box for my bread."

"Was served hard bread. Pita chips served with spinach dip were burned. Hardly any beans at all in the figoli soup. Salad had big Ole chunks of lettuce an wilted lettuce in it. Waitress acted like she did not care to do her job. Never smiled. Acted like she wanted us to hurry and leave as if she had something important to do. Watched other wait staff and they were smiling and chatty while waiting on their tables."
