Famous spot to taste amatriciana but be ready, waiters are so fast and it seems you stay more in a fast food than a restaurant. Amatriciana and griscia are ok maybe bit salty and I appreciated the appetizers too. Overall it was ok just they...need waiters more kind and relaxed... View all feedback.
There are so many reasons why I was adored to eat spaghetti amatriciana in amatrice: a family dynasty to watch, the many diners served on Thursday at midday (the patriarch was particularly charming;) to observe all the varied customers. in the restaurant; the beautiful open and airy atmosphere and above all the food! in the morning we went through norcia and felt sad how the city suffered so much under the earthly earthquake. by amatrice, it looked worse with such a destruction of the city. to see this stylish restaurant village, created for the restaurants to survive over the earthquake, beautifully designed, but more so, to live with people, that made my heart happy. They didn't even give us an eye-catcher for our unusual order: divide up the mixed fritted dinge, a plate of amatriciana pasta and then some grilled lamb (and kartoffeln). but we couldn't have eaten anymore. how do the Italians make it and remain so thin?
Wonderful eating and exemplary service also with over 400 hungry and discriminatory diners. fantastic value at €20 per head to wine, water and coffee.
If they want to try the real amatriciana, then this is the place the choice of courses is limited, but this probably helps them super fast in serving their food. obviously not to miss the amatriciana and the gricia (the version without tomatoes... sauce) good selection of typical second cures, meat-based. not recommended for vegetarians, unless they are ready to take a next course for lunch / dinner.
If they have the opportunity to actually go to the city amatrice and the true pasta amatriciana rehearsal, they must do it in this restaurant. it's great. with a speciality both the white (which is the original) and the red amatriciana. they cannot go wrong. the service was excellent and the restaurant that is also part of a hotel was clean and cozy. the mixed antipasta was also plentiful and tasty. While it is a little out of the way for most tourists when they are in this part of italia and are a pasta lover, they should really stop for lunch or dinner and enjoy the true original pasta amatriciana. I loved it very much.
Nice little place to taste a great portion of pasta alla amatriciana in both rossa bianca presentations! The restaurant is part of a hotel, simple but neat and tidy, and the service is... very Italian! Means fast and concise. Summarizing one of the best...pasta alla amatriciana I have ever eaten. fully recommended.
