The service has been incredibly slow during both of our visits. We had to wait a long time to receive the check, and then the server didn’t return to check on us. We ended up having to take the payment to her, interrupting some other servers who were gathered together chatting. Perhaps removing the automatic 18% gratuity would encourage better service. What User doesn't like about Pour Vida Tacos:
First off the waiters/waitresses don't really care because they automatically get a tip included . 15% . Their food is good but the guacamole sucks there's no sour cream . The alcoholic drinks suck too , either watered down or its a bad taste at room temp. Oh you want water ? The water is tap they don't put ice if they don't like you . They need a new team . I had a fantastic culinary experience with a wonderful atmosphere, exceptional service, and excellent food.
The main server, Carlos, who took care of my table was extremely attentive. The customer service was fantastic.
Very good eating very attentive staff delicious and good inexpensive food. new location is much bigger than the last street side of the outside café I would not only be because of the street noise and all people who are right at their table to foot.
Food is delicious! It really is. We had breakfast tacos, chilaquiles, mole potatoes, Pineapple skirt steak tacos, Fried chicken taco, mango pork tacos, and the cauliflower tacos. AMAZING! I removed 1 star because you are charged 18% tip. It states very clearly on the menu that each bill will include an 18% tip. I normally tip at least 20% tip from good service, so I did not mind the tip charge. Also my dad was a waiter at some point, so I understand the importance of a tip. What's the issue then? Well, with our total bill cost, the tip came out to be around $16. The girl working there, while nice, only came to check on us once. And our food was waiting there for a while before it was brought to us so a lot of it was cold. So I left pretty unhappy that I had to tip $16 and we were only checked on ONCE. No, it was not that busy. I did not say anything because I didn't want to make a scene or anything. I truly believe that if you are going to include an 18% tip on our bill, then customer service is very important and a must! *Would like to say that it does say that you can tell the manager if you want to adjust or remove the tip, but that puts the customer in an uncomfortable position. In my opinion. Either way, I would definitely recommend this place. Like I said, food is amazing! And the tortillas....mmmmmmmmm!!!!
