"One of the places in the area that had opened a kitchen in the afternoon. The decor is a little old-fashioned. We ordered bites (chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, onion rings... and salads and everything was absolutely amazing. Service was super fast, but grumpy, that's the reason I don't have a 5 star rating."

"Stayed here for 1 night on our way to Austria. There was a group of 7 of us. We all enjoyed the hotel, evening meal, breakfast and the drinks. The staff were all really helpful and pleasant. The beds were very comfortable. If we are travelling this way again, we will definitely be looking to stay here again!"

"As the ski season had already ended, finding an open restaurant proved quite challenging! Luckily I discovered Restaurant Walser in Ulrichen, which is open all year round. We have all heard the saying "You never get a second chance to make a first impression’’. Unfortunately the waiter behaved extremely cold and unwelcoming. I got the distinct feeling that he was doing me a favour in serving me! On the opposite, the tenants appeared later during the dinner and were very friendly. The dining room feels cozy and pleasant, with loads of vintage photos of Ulrichen. The menu is Swiss traditional with strong focus on local produce and suppliers. As starter the Valais air dried meat tasted wonderful (however, I discovered that the waiter had served me the large portion, whereas I had ordered the small size!! . As main course I chose a typical Valais dish: ‘’Croûte au fromage’’ a slice of bread topped with grated cheese, cured ham, onions and fried egg. The whole is oven baked and served piping hot: quite revigorating but definitely not for the health conscious. As dessert I indulged myself with the house specialty ‘’Snowball’’ apricot sorbet, wrapped with vanilla ice and hazelnuts. Delicious portion! The bill reflected the usual Swiss price level. The food tasted actually very good, but the whole dining experience was definitely let down by the very unpleasant waiter. Please replace him asap!"

"Had a light dinner here on a Sunday evening, the place was quite busy.we sat and menus promptly delivered without wine list, the waiter returned 10 mins later to take our orders . We shared a pizza and salad both of which were fine. It...was a $40cfc meal which included two glasses of wine"

"1. We ordered our drinks 2 white wines. 1 syrup. 1 water. 2. Waited a long time. Received two syrups. Not so bad we thought. Mistakes happen. Sent syrup back. Got water. 3. Ordered: 1 bison steak medium. 1 beef well done. 2 chips...for children. 4. Waited a long time. Received overcooked Bison and vey undercooked ‘bloody’ beef. Tried to get attention of staff. Took a long time. Restaurant was not that busy. Eventually they cooked the beef a bit more. Still not right. 5. Wanted to pay and leave. Took another 20 minutes after plates were cleared. 6. Long evening. Not fully satisfied. Cost a lot. 7. Very small number of menu choices. They should be done correctly"

"Excellent service: fast, friendly and very tasty meat! the atmosphere is secret, we were served extra supplements like bratkartoffeln directly from the pan without being extra charged what was super positiw! we also arrived without reservation, as we have just stopped driving, place was crowded, but we were offered a place anyway. excellent unpublished experience. recommended!"

"You wouldn't expect (at least, we didn't expect to find a restaurant that offers high-level dishes outside the award-winning spas as soon as you open up. and instead, it was so! we took two seconds: bone fillet and calf cheek. the first tall and big, cooked to perfection, the second so tender to melt in the mouth, delicious flavor. very generous portions. we got everything with huge pleasure. always appreciated boundary note: friendly and professional staff. in the end, perhaps because we had also had breakfast there with an excellent blueberry tart, we were offered a bitter local production herb that we liked very much. very honest account. What do you mean? sin not to dwell closer, but if we return to the valley shape will also be for this jewel! Congratulations!"

"Very much a local bar and restaurant with high quality fresh produce very well cooked and served in extremely generous quantities! Lunchtime menu available and evening a la carte . Good pizza, excellent food and good, unobtrusive service. Always busy, too, which is a good sign."
