The atmosphere is nice, they had a live pair performing. It was a tad bit loud but good ambience. The bakery and restaurant are separated so it’s easy to get your bakery items without having to walk through tables. The food was tasty and well portioned. The chilaquiles were not spicy at all, I wish they were a bit more spicy but it’s understandable. What FF R Salazar doesn't like about San Luis Rey Bakery:
This is a good place with good baked goods and good food. However, the price range is extremely overpriced. Example: one sweet bread, style niño revuelto, $4.50. One. Take three and see how that adds up.How about a simple burrito?Went here and ordered a bean, cheese, and rice burrito with xtra cheese. It was $20 for the burrito. I was charged $4ish for the rice...I took a drink, so $26 dollars for lunch, one person.T... View all feedback.
For Custom Cakes :I do not recommend having custom ordered cakes from this location.I ordered a custom cake for a birthday. The outside was almost as described, but missing the top design requested. The inside of the cake was as requested, but the bread and cream in the inside was not good. Bread was not moist, it tasted rough as if the bread was left out for 4 days. Cream cheese was very sweet and had to good taste like a traditional red velvet cake cream cheese filling. Very disappointed considering the price.Food:Portions, and taste are good. Not so much to rave about just decent. Nice patios outside and the customer service is very on point. Very nice and attentative.Abiance is nice with tradtional beautiful decor.Pasteries:They are very delish! So many options to choose from and all have good flavor ans texture. Definitely recommend those.
This place was incredible! The service was toooooo great, the food even better, and the atmosphere.... the atmosphere was incredible too. Like better than the Earth's atmosphere. How can you get better than that. A trust hidden gem. I can't wait to go back and get some more food off of the menu.Great pan too.The service hit a new high for me. I felt like they were all family friends by the time we left.MmmmGood, not bad.
Loved this place. We were visiting from Los Angeles and found it by chance.. the customer service was awesome, the food? and the pan dulce! Delicious!
I was recommended this place from a colleague at work and it could not have turned out any better. I walked in for an early dinner around 4:30 PM and was greeted promptly by one of the staff. Being so early in the day there were only three or four other couples in the restaurant. The quiet atmosphere, and the music was perfect. As soon as you walk in there is a festive environment with many treats on display in the bakery section. My meal, Chile relleno, was exquisite. I don’t frequently have the opportunity to eat traditional Mexican food, but this place brought my desire to perfection! Thank you once again for bringing me a wonderful evening of culinary excellance. highly recommended!
I just went to the bakery. They also have breakfast lunch and dinner. The breakfast looks a little pricey. The bakery is fantastic.
