Brewhouse N 6 - Boise

The food and drinks are incredible. I got the Banh Mi and everything from the sandwich to the chips were delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well, we will definitely be back!

Tiny hole in the wall brewery. They turned an old firehouse into a brewery and it's adorable. They do not allow anyone under the age of 21. They have a handful of beers on tap and your basic bar food menu. Not alcohol free friendly for those who don't drink. The parking lot is tiny and you will more than likely have to park on the street in front of peoples homes.

Best beer in town!!! The owner makes each batch herself personally. They also have a great food menu!

Best place in Boise. They do not seem to ever make a poor beer. I have liked them all. Beth is a hard working owner and deserves the success achieved.

Bear Island Brewing is brewery visit #229 for me. I had the chance to visit several breweries in Boise/Meridian over the course of a couple days and BIB was the first. There isn't a lot of parking here but you can park in the residential area behind it. BIB has a pretty small taproom but it wasn't too busy when we arrived. Idaho potato ale was a nice IPA. I can't say I could pick out any flavors or anything that would have been added by potato's though. A flight was in order for me Ammo Bocks German dunkles is a good one. A lot of caramel on the nose, which isn't as prominent on the tongue. Lord Mor Scotch ale with heather tips was pretty good but didn't have the sweetness you would usually get on the tongue. There was definitely a floral aroma from the heather. This isn't high on my list of Scotch ales unfortunately. The Schokolade German chocolate stout was the best of the ones I tasted. Chocolate flavors on nose which followed really well on the tongue. If you stop in here, try the Schokolade!
