"For the first time visit this restaurant for a weekend lunch. made to feel very welcome by the charming hostess. Eating was of exceptional quality and well cooked. the menu choice was very diverse and we all enjoyed our different dishes- can recommend the lobster bisque, which was absolutely delicious. a personal favorite of mine tracle sponge and custard was light and fluffy and finished the meal with a smile. this restaurant was a good “find” and a place where we will definitely return."

"I honestly thought this place was quite expensive and I popped in after I couldn't get what I wanted at cooplands. Wow such choice and amazing value. I chose the coronation chicken baguette and I couldn't wait to get home to eat it, in fact I was drooling before I sat down. Thoroughly enjoyed it to the last bite. Will definitely be back to try more on the menu. Very friendly and polite staff too this will definitely be my go to location from now on."

"We came to the Barley Mow for their pie night last night. The pies were amazing, best we have ever had. I had the chicken, ham and leek and my wife had the beef in red wine. Perfectly cooked pastry packed with meat. Lovely, crispy chips and perfectly cooked vegetables. Fabulous desserts, the banoffee pie was delicious, as was the lemon cheesecake. Fantastic service by the the team and Jayne is the perfect host. Thank you team BM."

"Fantastic food, amazing chips and onion rings. The kids meals are great too, chicken nuggets were home made and so tasty. Staff were so friendly too. "As others have already mentioned, the service was appalling. Sat in the restaurant for 15 minutes waiting for the menu, the waitress only had two other tables to deal with but seemed to ignore us, in the end went up to the bar and asked for two menus. After another long wait of 15 minutes or so the waitress came up to us and asked if we were ready to order. In total it was about an hour from when we entered the pub to getting our food. The wife enjoyed her BBQ spare ribs but the steak in my steak pie was dry, the roast potatoes were hard and the vegetables under cooked. I'm afraid we will not be returning. Parking: Large free parking area to the side of the pub."
