"The first time I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant was April while on a delayed honeymoon. A number of years passed by, then while vacationing in Bremen, I luncheon there again, but several years later the restaurant was closed. Then to...my surprise it was open again in I don’t know when it opened again. I arrived just before noon, and the second customer there. After choosing a seat, then came the always difficult decision – what to eat-. My choice was a fish dish with homefried potatoes, vegetable and of course Bremen’s own Beck Beer both were yummy. By the time I finished, the restaurant was fully of customers. You will find the Kleiner Ratskeller, just a few steps away from the Market Square where the Roland statue is… They are open Monday to Sunday – I definitely would eat there again."

"We came here on a cold wintery wet afternoon and we walked past. The warmth and nice setting drew us in. We ordered a local beer each and sat down, our waitress soon realised we was English and handed us an english menu. We ordered a local meal and it didnt disappoint, beautiful and original. We then said how we felt and she said that we needed to taste Knipp as this was tasty too. We vowed to be back tomorrow, she brought us out a taster to see if we liked it so it wasnt a wasted journey and again it didnt disappoint. The service we have received has just been 10/10. Thank you I will reccomend to friends for future visits to Bremen. Our waitress was called Natalie"

"General: whoever reads me knows that we would like to turn Portuguese or Spanish into crèches. Portuguese is unfortunately total misdisplay in bremen. there are some and with the cocina de salva we had landed a good match. on a bike tour, the tio pepe with its small but colorful front stabbed me in the eye last summer. it is located in no one's country between the good-bourgeois weakhausen and the scenic eastertor on a wide road, with the foothills of the main railway station to the north in the back. on other portals, it is mostly covered with sympathy without promise of culinary high-level flights. as we were allowed to experience on a Saturday night late, the tio pepe has faithful guests. among them a large group with e-cigarettes, which left powerful steam and the restaurant dipped into a light fog. pepes wirtsfrau had announced this fairly on the phone at the reservation, but it did not stop us. otherwise small groups and couples that fill the restaurant up to the last place. spontaneous guests had to be rejected. the very simple homepage [here link] lets the restaurant appear smaller than it is. inconveniently also that few dishes of the card are listed. pepe should seriously think about a relaunch. Eat: on the homepage you only see 14 eat. In contrast, the rich map is significantly more extensive: 8 tapas from 7,50 – 8,50 €, 7 salates from 3,50 – 10,50 €, 8 fish dishes (scampi, calamares, mussels, zander, thunfisch from 10,50 to 17,30 €, 5 meat dishes (huhn, lamb, bark from 11,80 to 15,50 € without deposit 2,60 from 6 surprisingly the four pasta dishes “Maccarones” from 8.90 to 10.90 €. I'll let the desserts go. paella has to be ordered separately. Wednesdays is scampitag and a kilo with half a liter house wine are offered for a nice 29,90 €. up to the nude dishes, no position of cards spontaneously aroused curiosity or excited anticipation. you don't find a otopus, but only the boring rings or whole tubes. not a rabbit, no inners. that applies to all tapas and all main dishes. we chose the mixed teller with six tapas according to our own choice for 12,50 € and the ali oli (I take the letter from the card with baguette for 3,00 €. forward: koch pepe is a friend of the chopped petersilie, who cried all dishes, even the ali oli, although she certainly has nothing to look for. the ali oli was served in a miniaturpaella pan in a neat portion and had an unexpectedly sour note, which reminded of lemon (our servant meant vinegar but after a short reconciliation we liked it and the “homemade” I accept. the baguette was fresh and fine-pored, so it was well suited for taking the ali oli. victorious on the brave were the grilled chorizo and the thun-fished gigbags. also managed the anchovy in vinegar and the kartoffel chips. the cut fraction with paprikawurst and serrano was inconspicuous. for together 15,50 € and remembering the portion sizes not a bargain, but also no covered price. after a pleasant waiting period the lamb fillet came (15.50 € with kartoffel chips as supplement (2.80 € and the maccarones with scampi (10.90 €. a neat teller with many great gambas and tomato pieces that brought fruitiness to the altogether well-made dish. my constant companion got four strands of lamb fillet, which we had ordered with “medium plus” (were asked not after the desired state at all). for me, the filet was hardly spiced out of the pan, my co-esserine found it a one-sidedly strong spiced without being able to name the evocative. the kartoffel chips were successful. for €18.30 a court for me only mediocre (before it comes to the opposite: my wife has tasted it . with a supplemental salad that you would have ordered separately, you would have landed at €21.30. In contrast, I found my noodle dish very well portioned and priced at 10.90 € friendly, especially considering the undamaged prices of some Italians, if only the word scampi appears on the map and on the teller only an accompaniment of the Asian seafood is conveyed. a mixed impression. with 3.5 stars eating in the tio pepe is well served. ambiente: according to homepage pepe and his wife took over the restaurant in april 2008 and renovated. it is housed in the ground floor of a brim house, a special, historical form of the town house, the whole district of the town in the crèche, and extends from the geduckt worker's variant in the crè west to the representative town house of the bourgeoisie. the tio pepe is housed in the generous variants. From the outside a hose-shaped space is expected. that is correct in that there is only a narrow window area and the rest of the restaurant moves through the deep of the house. after the entrance, however, it widens to the left (behind the treppenhaus in the 1st floor . after the tresen come the toilets and the dining area ends first with the “family table” which also looks like this. then to the right a storage room with many paellapans on the wall. my curious look into the groom took pepe to the occasion to report from his paella-grandtats. then left and right open, small kitchens. then a “rustic room” (homepage with three sixer tables, televisions and smoke permissions. then it goes into the summer garden, which ends at the tram dam with an arm protection wall. in the (still not open summer garden also many family homes. the daughter of the house turned around in the restaurant, without it having annoyed. the device has a white flowing floor and a warm wall color, a white, semi-high panel on the right and otherwise much deco. in the expectation of ostern, this was enriched by icy bouquets in vases, osterhases, smiling etc. I already found it overloaded and not quite out of a casting. the facility also proved in detail that not only profis had been hand-made during renovation. we sat on a four table on a small podest area left. between the table and the door to the storage room stood a huge deco tree with a powerful crown of countless plastic sheets. a dust collector of the most superfluous sorts that had found through many spinnwebs connection to the wall and deck! the herrentoilette must have been saved in 2008 during the renovation. an energy-saving bulb of the first generation without a glass body on the deck, beaten flowing and a crisp press set, which is probably not even available today in the construction market, gave a scrapy impression. the tables offer more space and space between them than I would have suspected after a look through the window. they are neatly provided with color matching table linen. the chairwork is not uniform. positiw is the indirect lighting that keeps the balance between cozyness and sufficient brightness to study cards. acoustically the whole is painted by common Spanish music, that is, rather gassenhauer than demanding folklore. for the last time I want to stress the word empathy to pull a resümee. you can describe the described positiw as “authentic”, “personally”, “familiary” or “original” and pepe and his wife will certainly run their restaurant with heart blood. Sober and objectiv judges, pepe and his wife will take their guests neatly money for average in spatialities that remain significantly behind today’s standards. ironically, I ask whether this is meant, if it is on the homepage: “We did not want a normal restaurant that exists on every corner of Bremen, we wanted to put something extraordinary on the legs and we think that we did too.” Cleanliness: besides the spining weaving of our mighty deco tree, I noticed that the white flowing floor did not make freshly wiped impressions. on the tables it went clean."
