Cosy charming authentic Italian. Only the correct amount of selections that offer selection, but not overwhelming. I never had a bad meal. The owner is pretty cool and sociable, but he could be a little nicer for the staff. I was there once before the pandemic for a late lunch and he was not very warm and fuzzy prepping waiting staff for dinner. Otherwise, never had a problem with service or something else. My friend... The service was terrible. I went there to pick up my food. At the entrance the owner ignored me. Then I went in, the owner knew I was there to get food, but never said a word to me. Not even hi. I showed him my reception and asked for my pickup. He finished everything he did. Never tell me hello or any word all the time. Give me my bag. No thanks for saying nothing. No eye contact. We make it a point to visit Gran Gusto on every trip we make to Boston from Denver Colorado. Excellent food, wonderful service and a very welcoming and friendly staff! See you again on Sept. 19, 2018 Joanne David
My boyfriend and I found this lovely place as we walked back to our AirBnB in Somerville and couldn't be happier we did. We were greeted by the owner who also was our waiter. He was so nice. The service here is amazing. Absolutely no complaints at all from us. Wish we had found this lovely establishment on our first day in Boston rather than our last. Also, by far the best calamari we have ever had!
