"26/6/22 Sunday evening dinnerWe three British guys were in Coimbra a few days, including a Sunday and we found out there was a special Sunday offer of a range of Tapas for €1 each.We arrived at about 8:15 to find a very busy, packed modern restaurant full of young people. Inside was full so we went outside to the courtyard and found a table but I was too cold so went inside to find a table. Soon enough one was vacated, this is a fast food joint so turnover is great. We went online to look up the menus and offers and chose away. The beers were cheap so the system was to choose, go to the till, order food, order drinks, be given the drinks immediately and an alarm which buzzed when the dishes were ready. As Pescatarians, first off we chose the Vegan Crocantes, Superbock and two Superbock Dark Stouts. The alarm was a novelty for us (oldies) and when it went off it was hilarious! You return to the serving kiosk, pick up your dish and return the alarm onto the shelf above (or else you are 'told off ', which on our first collection my friend dutifully was)! The croquettes came with sauces and were obviously freshly cooked, piping hot and crispy! We ordered again, the queue fluctuated wildly so choose your moment! In the end we chose a whole load of dishes at discounted prices. They were not real Spanish Tapas but good enough for our needs. Not high class cuisine obviously! The staff were busy alternating jobs, clearing tables and wiping them down after people left.We were the oldest people there but no-one cared. Apparently they are a chain and found in many cities, a bit like JDW. Good, filling and dependable food in a fun young atmosphere. Maybe other days are less busy but for the many students there this would be the business as the food seems reasonably priced anyway.By 9:40 we had made our way through quite a few dishes and a 'pint ' each: Superbock x2 €3Superbock Stout €2; plus dishes... 33, 34, 5, 7, 10, 60 93."
