"Le Salon de The' in Dax is one of those rare and off the beaten track, special places. If you are visiting the south west of France, you have got to taste the duck breast and the foie gras. Le Salon de The' serves a lunch specialty that is superb and very inexpensive. The specialty consists of 1 inch square, rare to medium cooked, chunks of duck breast, sandwiched between two crisp pancakes of sorts, served in a plate bowl, and surrounded by chunks of potatoes and onions, with the whole plate laden with a light gravy (jus). It's delicious, special, rare, a genuine find, and inexpensive at 9 Euros. What a find! Worth a visit!"
