Great salad bar, okay chicken plate, but terrible customer service. We were charged 75 cents for a take-out box. Honestly, it's not about the 75 cents. We spent almost $100 for lunch and have to pay 75 cents to take the last of our meal is a little annoying considering that it increases prices on each item on the menu. What upsets me and honestly ruined forever my experience in the score is not the 75 cents, but as i... View all feedback.
Scores is a Quebec based chain restaurant. The menu is basically 80% chicken and they also have a salad bar you can add to your entree. When we were there they had a promo on where the salad bar is free with the purchase of any entree. I was really impressed with their salad bar. You can build your own salad and they also have pasta salad, potato salad and a few different bean salads. There are also two different types of soup and an assortment of fresh fruits. You can also just have the salad bar for $10, which is great deal. We ordered the fish and chips which was just ok. The fish was very heavily battered and really hard. We also had the maple cedar plank salmon with rice. It was just okay as well. The salmon was a bit over cooked but the rice was delicious. Service was very good and we will definitely be back. Sometimes when you are on a road trip it's hard to eat healthy. The salad bar is a great option .
We stayed at the Best Western and were looking for somewhere to eat within walking distance. This was actually our second time at Scores (the first was last summer). Our waitress was very friendly. I had the green curry chicken with vegetables and rice. It was pretty good. Last time I had the Thai chicken with vegetables and rice and it was similar. The menu said basmati rice and the picture on the menu showed white basmati rice but it came with the scores rice I think (yellowish with bits of vegetables in it). That was ok the rice was good. I was also served a bowl of coleslaw to start, which I didn't remember seeing on the description. The others at my table had the rotisserie chicken breast with the salad bar (one chose baked potato as a side and the other had mashed). They were both impressed with the salad bar, which also had fresh fruit, and with the rest of their dinner. I wasn't super wowed but it's a convenient place to eat after a long day on the road and I'll likely be back again.
Was happy with the service, soup and salad bar. When we got our chicken it looked delicious and tasted pretty good(little dry). Crazy thing is i got an allergy attack in there. My nose started running, eye watering, and couldn't stop sneezing. Very very strange! after a long day of driving i just needed a relaxing meal... but i needed to run out of there so i could stop sneezing
