After our wonderful experience at the BC Forest Discovery Centre, we searched online for a lunch place. We settled upon the Fishbowl Cafe, which turned out to be a find. Upon entering the children made a beeline to the aquarium and claimed the table underneath. They were fascinated by the scope and creativity. A magnetized algae cleaning device also got their attention as they moved it up and down.I had a very good pesto chix sandwich with had yellow bell peppers--a first, but it was very good and fairly priced. For the kids grilled cheese sandwiches and smoothies rounded out the successful luncheon. This resto is not on the tourist radar. It attracts locals who know what they like.
Just chanced upon this coffee shop as it's off the main road in Duncan but well worth coming to. Lovely ambiance and light. Good food choices including soup, sandwiches, muffins, salads, smoothies and drinks. The non-alcoholic mojito was very refreshing on a hot day. Lots of gluten-free options. Definitely beats out Starbucks!
Jeremy & Jessica have done it RIGHT! Good ambiance with a multitude of sitting spaces - large or small. Good tasty variety of pastries and lunch items. The coffee and tea are delicious. Easily accessible for my handicapped friend. Great social atmosphere and is now my #1 coffee spot.
