One corner of the place gets some extreme sun making it hot and uncomfortable (no blinds) but after fulfilling our request to move, fantastic place to eat, drink and receive great service! View all feedback.
What Noora Andreev doesn't like about The Madrona Grill, Orcas Island:
The food was expensive and okay. They didn’t mention which dishes they didn’t have, so we had to change our order a couple of times. Very lovely view over the ocean. The honey lavender cider was good. View all feedback.
Sadly they were out of some of the items we wanted to order. We understood that the island gets their supplies from the mainland. We shared a Halibut fish and chips which was great but would have ordered more if it had been available.
We really enjoyed the waterfront view and the food. Our shareable blue cheese salad and seafood pasta special were both great delicious and of generous portions. Window blinds would have helped greatly with the blinding, low western sun. There was a surprising lack of recognition/response when we reported blue plastic in our pasta.
Good service, views, and food. The service was amazing, everyone made sure we were comfortable and had enough water and our server (Bri) was very nice and helpful. The restaurant is right on the water so you have a beautiful view plus theres outside seating. And the food was just delicious! We had coconut shrimp to start off then my dad had the fish and chips (which he really liked), me and my mom had the grilled salmon which was great but the mashed potatoes it came with were AMAZING!
Such a cute little place with a great view. The salmon was definitely wild caught and delicious. The Caesar salad was fantastic! The sauce with the crabcakes was pretty sweet, which I wasn’t expecting, but I actually wound up dipping it in my extra Caesar dressing and I liked it a lot.
Drinks were good. Service was good. Food was ok. Nothing memorable. Beautiful spot over the water.
