Checked out Orchid Thai for lunch and it was very good. The staff was welcoming and attentive, the atmosphere was great and the food was very good. So to be clear, the food served here is not Thai based food. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s 100% not Thai (also not Chinese). The prices are quite insane as well. 2 of the best restaurants for Asian food in Portland (Empire, and Pei Men Miyake) are not this expensive and the atmosphere at those restaurants is great. The service was so fast and polite! Our food came out very quickly and was quite delicious! Will definitely visit again!

Avoid this place and go to a proper restaurant in Portland.
I love Khao Soi here. It tasted like my hometown Khao Soi. I'll never ask any dishes is better. My Gin Martini and Steamed butterflies were great. Also the service was very good.
This was my first visit to Orchid Thai, and the team here truly impressed me with the kind and speedy service and amazing food. The kitchen and Chef Sandy were pumping out delicious food at an incredible pace. Everything was perfect. We had chicken satay, crab rangoons, and chicken red curry. We will be back for many more meals. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting many thai restaurants around the east coast, and this Orchid Thai is easily in the top 3. Excellent food and great service, but prices are a bit high.
